Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use Vynthen, we collect personal information you provide to us directly, such as your name, email address (via Google OAuth or standard registration), location (country), and usage metadata. We also automatically collect interaction data, such as chat history (for non-guests) and device usage analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to operate, maintain, and improve the Vynthen platform. This includes enforcing rate limits, allowing you to access past conversations, sending authentication emails, and offering personalization based on your AI interaction history.

3. Data Storage

Your data is securely stored on modern cloud infrastructure. By default, chat conversations limit local interactions to your browser's persistent cache when acting as a guest. Authenticated accounts have their conversations and settings securely synced with our backend database to enable cross-device availability.

4. Third Party Services

To provide advanced AI capabilities and reliable infrastructure, we share the minimum necessary diagnostic and interaction data with trusted third parties:

  • PocketBase: For secure database hosting, user authentication, and web-push subscriptions.
  • Google OAuth: To provide seamless and secure third-party login capabilities.
  • OpenRouter & AI Providers: Prompts and instructions are routed securely to API providers to generate AI responses. Personally identifiable information is never explicitly linked to these generations unless you deliberately submit it.

5. Cookies

Vynthen uses standard session cookies and browser LocalStorage schemas solely to persist your authentication state, interface preferences (like theme), and offline Progressive Web App caching capabilities.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You may delete your chat history or account manually at any time, which natively cascades destruction commands throughout our active database ledgers.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you. Under applicable data privacy frameworks, you may also request to restrict processing, port your data out of our ecosystem, or revoke your consent entirely.
